Steamfast is a specialist rather than a range brand, and one model of theirs is currently verifiable on a live US listing: the Virtuoso, at 1,000 W with a removable 296 ml tank, a 30-second heat-up and 1.8 pounds. Its distinguishing feature is not a specification but a sentence - it publishes a one-year manufacturer warranty, which most units at this price do not. What it does not publish is a voltage, so we cannot tell you whether it is safe to take abroad.

That is four of the five figures this site scores, plus a warranty term. Of the thirty-six listings on this site, several publish two of watts, tank, heat-up and weight and leave the rest blank. Steamfast publishes all four, and complete disclosure is a signal in a category where the absence of a figure is usually the finding. The voltage is the gap, and it is a real one.
The warranty is the reason to consider it
Look at where a published warranty sits in this market. Jiffy publishes three years and Conair publishes two, and both are full-size machines from established manufacturers. Down at the cheap end of the handheld class - the OGHom HL6, the HiLIFE HL7 and HL9, the Beautural pair - nobody publishes a term at all. Steamfast's single year is modest in absolute terms and unusual in context.
A warranty is a maker attaching a cost to its own failure rate. It does not tell you the machine is better built, but it tells you somebody with access to the return data was willing to write a number down. It is ahead of every 1,875 W unit, which cluster at 190 to 216. Steamfast rates it at 15 minutes of continuous steam. For comparison, the Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam carries 216 ml and its maker states 20 minutes at a much higher wattage - the two figures are not contradictory, because a bigger element empties a tank faster.
The tank is also removable, which matters more than the 80 ml it gains over a Conair. You fill it at a tap rather than carrying the whole machine to the sink, and you can empty it completely after a session - the habit that keeps a steamer alive.
At 1,000 watts the Virtuoso also gets more out of 296 ml than a more powerful machine would. Running the arithmetic this site applies everywhere, it supports about eighteen minutes of continuous steam - more than the fifteen Steamfast advertises, and well over twice what the 1,700 W PurSteam SteamPulse manages from its 210. The head-to-head works that through, because the two sell alongside each other at a similar price.
1,000 watts, and what that honestly buys
One thousand watts is the floor this site keeps returning to: the point below which a steamer relaxes knits and synthetics but leaves woven cotton damp rather than smooth. The Virtuoso clears that floor and does not go far past it. It will handle polyester, jersey, knitwear, wool and light cotton without difficulty.
It will not make a heavy cotton dress shirt look pressed, it will do nothing for linen, and a structured jacket wants more. If cotton shirting is a regular part of your week, the 1,200 W and up units are the honest recommendation instead.

Our score comes from four published figures - watts, tank capacity, stated heat-up and weight - each normalized against the range its own class spans, with the rubric published in full on the methodology page. The Virtuoso's advantage there is that it publishes all four; several competitors publish two or three and lose the missing metrics rather than being credited with a guess.
Its weakness is equally plain from the same four numbers: 1,000 W is the bottom of the useful range and 1.8 pounds is mid-pack for a handheld. The warranty is not one of the scored metrics - it is a separate published fact, and on this page it is the more useful one.
